[naewoeilbo내외일보]Lee Su Han이수한 기자=In context of the public diplomacy of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Korea His Excellency Mohamed Al Harthy, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Korea visited Chosun University in Gwangju, Jeonnam province. His Excellency delivered lecture at the university
The lecture highlighted the historical and cultural aspects of Oman. He also overviewed the modern renaissance of Oman, the tourism attractions, Omani-Korean relations and the Omani experience in the approach of negotiation and dialogue to reach to settlement and peace based on the values of understanding, tolerance and coexistence.

The ambassador also had meeting with the university officials and discussed way of cooperation in student and academic exchange programs, he then presented collection of books to the university as reference for students and researchers. 
Ambassadors said this visit comes under the lecture series of the Korea Arab Society which aims to introduce the Arab culture to Korean students to promote both the Korean and Arabic culture to bring people to people closer for better understanding which aims to enhance and broaden the relation and cooperation between Korea and Arab countries. It also comes in context of the public diplomacy of Oman embassy to introduce Oman, its deep history, unique heritage and rich culture and promote approach foreign policy, economy and investment opportunities.
